Southeast Linux Fest + Chromebook = Best Weekend Ever?

Today, I go up to Charlotte, North Carolina for Southeast Linux Fest. Armed with a brand new Acer CB3-431-C5EX Chromebook, I already have installed a few different Desktop Environments (DEs) using Crouton and so far have found Gnome to be the most stable. Supposedly, it has a 12 hour battery life, but that’s in optimal conditions and everything in low power. Still, I’ve gotten more than 6 hours of extremely heavy use out of it (downloading, running crouton, Skyping, running games, multiple tabs). I’m pretty impressed with it so far, but will I not hold judgment just yet over it. SELF is coming up and I will have a chance to put it to real use.
